This is from an excellent vintage with freshness and fruit flavours. Gusbourne has planted their vineyards very cannily, with a mixture of Champagne and Burgundian clones of Chardonnay giving the wine a bit more character than some Champagnes we taste. It is all hand picked and in terms of both acidity and alcohol it is very much like old school Champagne. (CW 19/09/14)
