Cogno`s 2010 Barolo Ravera emerges from some of the oldest vineyards in the property. Dark red cherry, plum, menthol, licorice and smoke meld together in a sumptuous wine that impresses for its breadth and volume. At the same time, there is plenty of Ravera minerality supporting the fruit. The Ravera doesn`t have the early appeal of the Cascina Nuova, rather it is a wine for the cellar.
