1992 Longmorn, AD Rattray 21 yo 48.0%

Built during the 19th century whisky boom, Longmorn has since then been used mostly as the backbone of certain upmarket blends. On its own, it produces a deep, rewarding, nutty malt. This particular bottling is also characterised by rich notes of orange and sultana. Both delicate and complex, from an undeservedly little known distillery. (NT 20/10/14)
