Caroline Morey is married to Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey and brought so much more to the relationship than another hyphen. Her ability to cope with P-Y`s sporting injuries is one aspect, but the vineyards she inherited and nurtured and contributed, and her skills in the cellar are also not to be sniffed at. Working as a team, the couple release some of their wines under the Pierre-Yves name and some under Caroline`s brand, but both are farmed and vinified identically. These are svelte, plump white wines, very much worthy of ageing, with winemaking in a modern variant of the ancient. Slow pressing and larger barrels than normal are just two tweaks employed to ensure a decent longevity on top of extremely high quality. Gorgeous wines. (CW 23/06/14)
