A surprisingly floral expression of Cornas, with plentiful violets on the nose. Smooth, ripe, fresh and well balanced. The acidity is quite marked, in fact, making for quite a brisk, strict style on the palate. Tannins are firm and quite rigid, so give this some time. All destemmed. 92 points

dark robe; the bouquet is well together, with a core of attractive cassis, black cherry fruit, a hint of sweet herbs, a note of reduction. The palate flows well throughout, bears very tasty black cherry fruit with stylish tannins, a good ensemble it is. It’s a free running Cornas that has captured the freedom of the vintage well, backed by supple richness. It can be drunk now, its wavy fruit most pleasing and instant, is a w.o.w. Cornas. Decant it for a drop off in the slight reduction. 13°. 20,000 b. 2035-37 4 stars
