William Kelley
The 2021 Labegorce is attractive, offering up a perfumed bouquet of cherries, raspberries, orange rind, cedary spices and smoke, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy palate with a pretty core of fruit, supple tannins and lively acids. 90-91 points
Neal Martin
The 2021 Labegorce has ample ripeness on the nose: black cherries, boysenberry and light violet aromas, the oak here nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and gentle grip, tightly wound toward the finish that errs toward Pauillac in style. One bottle just seems to miss a bit of cohesion. This will require four to five years in bottle, but it has the substance to age well. 91 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2021 Labegorce is dark, supple and inviting. Succulent dark cherry, plum, spice, new leather and mocha give Labégorce its forward personality. Floral and spice accents add an attractive upper register to play off some of the more overt leanings. 90-92 points
Jane Anson
Powerful, this is enjoyable, cool summer flavours, blueberry, redcurrant that you find widely, but this is accompanied here by luscious, mouthwatering red cherry and blackberry fruits, with plenty of structure and a tannic bite on the finish. Harvest September 23 to October 19. Limestone subsoil, with clay and gravel, 3.75ph. 91 points
