2021 Echo de Lynch-Bages (Pauillac)
Secondary Description
56% Merlot/44% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.1% Alcohol, Yield: 34 hL/ha. Blackberry, cedar, graphite. Despite the different proportions in the grape blend, this clearly comes from the same stable as Lynch-Bages and very much follows in the line of the grand vin, albeit with a little less weight and complexity. On the plus side it should be ready to drink sooner! The finish shows up a wet stone minerality, with the wine ending on a menthol, fresh note. (NT 31/05/22)

William Kelley
Offering up aromas of minty cassis and blackberries mingled with loamy soil, the 2021 Echo de Lynch-Bages is a medium to full-bodied, lively and charming wine that`s nicely balanced, but not especially deep or penetrating. 87-88
Neal Martin
The 2021 Echo de Lynch-Bages is just a bit reticent on the nose and despite coaxing, it remains muted for the moment. The palate is more open and expressive with lithe tannins and a harmonious texture, fresh with licorice-tinged black fruit toward the finish. 87 points
