The 2019 Carbonnieux Blanc has a lovely nose, nicely focused and understated at first, but there is more mineralité compared to its peers, tensile and focused. The palate is well-balanced with grapefruit and wild peach, slightly oily in texture with very expressive Sémillon towards the finish. Impressive. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting. 93 points
