The 2018 Echézeaux Les Treux Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has an intense bouquet with dark cherry, blueberry and violet aromas, a little oaky at the moment but it is proportioned with the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine structured, grippy and "serious" for an Echézeaux (perhaps more like a Grands Echézeaux?) Wonderful sapidity on the finish, this is a great 2018. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting. 94 points
