Deep in colour, this attractive looking wine continues its seduction on the nose with ample red and blackberry fruits as well as mulberry and a touch of clove. In the mouth the first impression is of suaveness: lovely, long-chain tannins glide across the palate with no snagging or coarseness. Immediately waves of fruit coat the tongue with more red fruit and a crunchy freshness. Flavours build and you might detect a hint of the Loire valley alongside the Gironde. The finish is long and the bottle improved over two days. Although it is drinking very well now, and I wouldn`t recommend paying for long term storage, this should develop positively over the next six to eight years. (CW 24/08/21)
