Complex, creamy aromas with a touch of green, sappy but not intrusive (it fades with air); the palate is quite refined, with red fruit and excellent texture from ripe tannins, promising much for the future. A very impressive vintage for Biac. (JH 26/04/22)

Jane Anson
An exceptional vintage across Bordeaux, making this one of the years when it really does pay to look for the smaller names, particularly when they have the track record for excellence that Biac does. This is still young and fairly closed, with confident tannins that are just starting to unwind. Liqourice, black chocolate, baked earth, cassis, you feel the satiny texture to the fruit, and the ripeness overall. Good quality. Patrick Leon consultant. 93 points

The scent of baked earth and crushed blackberries. Inky. Iron-tang-sweet of fresh red blood mingling with dark-red, bitter-red, leaf-stained-red berries; with purple mint; with grey-clay wet-smear and dry-dust; with the vanilla sweetness of blueberries. So very ready to drink right now, with a charming warmth and suppleness, the tannins melting into the fruit with reckless abandonment. GV. 16.5 points
