2015 Quinta do Vale Meao Meandro Tinto

Quinta do Vale Meao is a fabulous producer. They make an eponymous first wine, which is stunning and ages extremely well for years. This Meandro is the second wine and shares some of the intensity of the Meao, plenty of deep flavour and great texture. It is long and frankly one of the better values in the shop. (CW 20/02/18)

It should hold reasonably well in the cellar, but take that in stages. This estate in Douro Superior is one of Douro`s icons. They are consistent, elegant and typically exceptional. So far, however, I am wondering if these 2015s are a step behind their 2014s. I`m not exactly a fan of 2014 in Douro overall, but this property did well in the vi
