Tasted blind at Flint Wines’ 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. The 2012 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers from Taupenot-Merme has a candied, raspberry pastille and wild strawberry-scented bouquet with moderate delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple red berry fruit, the oak a little dominant towards the finish, although it just about maintains balance. I would just seek more terroir expression here. It just seems as though it lacks a little ambition and I speculate whether it is amidst a broody "teenage" phase. 88 points
