Monoca Larner
The 2011 Colli Berici Carmenere Riserva Oratorio di San Lorenzo is a deep and penetrating wine with a thick, black appearance. This wine oozes with power and concentration. The bouquet shows savory tones of dark fruit, dried prune, plum, tobacco, barbecue smoke and exotic spice. It`s the quintessential winter wine to pair with braised beef or game meat. Its tannins are soft and chewy and the wine is ever-so velvety in texture. If you like feminine wines, this is not for you. But if you love mass and class in one big package, this is a safe bet. 92 points
