2001 Taylor`s Quinta de Terra Feita

Quinta de Terra Feita is one of Taylor`s flagship estates. Its wines are bolder and earthier than Vargellas, which turns out more fruity Port. 2001 growing season started with an incredibly wet winter and lots of flooding and extensive damage in the Douro area. But the summer was cool, breezy and very dry stressing the vines. There was rain at the end of the harvest, but only for a couple of days and most of the fruit was brought in dry, making some lovely vintage Port. (CW 27/04/18)
