2001 Olivier Rouge (Pessac-Leognan)

45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc
Remarkably fresh for a 21 year old wine, especially at this price-level, with red berry fruit still in evidence, coffee bean and oak spice complexity and dark humus and autumn leaves rounding off the silky finish. Very pretty, medium-bodied wine, drinking exceptionally well now. (JH 22/04/22)
