The Lake Breeze winery lies on the banks of the Bremer River in the premium red wine district of Langhorne Creek. Since the first wine was made in 1987, Lake Breeze has developed a reputation for consistently producing concentrated red wines, with an abundance of fruit character and trademark soft tannins. The Follett family vineyard was established in the 1880`s by Arthur John Follett, the great, great grandfather of Greg Follett, the winemaker. The varieties grown on the vineyard include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay, with small blocks of Grenache, Merlot, Petit Verdot and White Frontignac. Lake Breeze selects only the best 20% of fruit from the older vines on the property, to create wines with amazing depth of flavour. These wines include the highly acclaimed `Bernoota` (Shiraz/Cabernet) and Winemaker`s Selection labels. Lake Breeze is one of Australia`s most awarded boutique wineries, achieving an extraordinary level of success in Australian Wine Shows, including 13 TROPHIES and 47 GOLD MEDALS, since 1994.
