Neal Martin
The 2023 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru, Moreau`s smallest cuvee, is transferred into Wine Globe after eight months, to decrease the wood influence. Well defined and focused, this barrel sample displays yellow fruit, hints of white chocolate and orange zest on the nose. The palate is fresh and crisp, slightly viscous in texture, quite leesy as it had just been racked from barrel. Still, it doesn`t quite kick on at the finish. It will be interesting to see how the Wine Globes influence the rest of the elevage. 90-92 points
