Josh Raynolds
(90% Chardonnay from the grand cru village of Chouilly and 10% still Pinot Noir; around 5 g/l dosage; L13246103711). Light, bright orange. Vibrant, mineral-driven red berry, orange zest and jasmine aromas are complemented by deeper suggestions of smoky lees and anise. Rich and broad yet surprisingly lively on the palate, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors that are given lift and cut by juicy acidity. Finishes taut and stony, with echoing red fruit and leesy nuances. This robust yet tensile pink Champagne would work well with rich fish dishes or even lighter poultry preparations; it would also be fantastic with raw or rare tuna or salmon. 92 points

An expressive and agreeably fresh nose of cherry, strawberry and raspberry aromas is cut with enough yeast character to notice. There is plenty of mousse to the delicious and refreshing flavors where the middle weight flavors possess fine delineation before terminating in a moderately dry, clean and austere finish. This is fash ioned in an old school style as the austerity is sufficiently pronounced that it won`t appeal to everyone. 91 points
