Coiled. That`s what this 2022 Springvale Riesling is. It`s like a compressed spring, waiting for release. The fruit is from the Springvale vineyard and shows just how GOOD Australian Riesling is. This is textural and tight, with springboards of fruit blossom, chalk, pith and zest queued up. This is a wine that needs some time to emerge from itself, but it promises to be a superstar: Grosset has managed to wedge in some restraint and some austerity into the folds of the voluminous Clare fruit.
