Tim James
2017 typically combines an elegantly understated subtlety of varietal character with a real depth of flavour & confidence of structure, a thoroughly enlivening acidity & dry finish. These wines both spontaneous ferment, no additives. 93 points

Jocelyn Hogan’s superb Chenin Blanc comes from a southeast facing, old vine, granite-based parcel on the Paardeberg. Waxy, leesy and complex, with plenty of texture and weight from full malolactic, a hint of wood and real focus and length. Drink 2019-25. 94 points
