Our shipment of Meerlust has finally landed after its long voyage from South Africa, and we are very pleased to be able to offer the wines for delivery by the case or by the bottle!
Meerlust Estate was first settled in 1693, and has been owned by the Myburgh family since 1756. Situated a mere 5km from the shoreline of False Bay, the estate is cooled by the winds which blow in from the sea. Their exposed location, with strong maritime influence in an otherwise warm region, makes Meerlust ideally suited to grow Bordeaux varieties (for which they are rightly famous) and, on parts of the estate particularly exposed to the ocean air, Chardonnay.
As always, we'll keep going on Friday if the wines last! /JH
