Limestone or Granite? Pinot Noir or ancient Gamay?
This tasting gives you a mini-masterclass in vine and rock matching. It is well known that Pinot Noir on limestone soils can make superative wine, less well known that Gamay on granite is also capable of grandeur. We present you with two wines from the village of Givry, made by Francois and Isabelle Lumpp, and two from the windswept terroirs of Moulin-à-Vent. The latter are from Thibault Liger-Belair and Edouard Parinet, who are neighbours.
