N.V. Gosset Petite Douceur Rose Extra Dry

Secondary Description
17g/l dosage, 11 years of elevage on the lees. 60% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir, 7% still red wine (Pinot Noir) added as part of the dosage. An experimental return to the style popular in the early 1900s, when Champagne was generally sweeter and usually aged for longer than the modern average of 10g/l dosage and two years on the lees. Fascinating, unique, worth trying! (JH 05/12/2024)
