The 2023 Meursault Les Grands Charrons comes from vines planted in 1929 (the oldest in the Domaine), and this year, it comprises four barrels. This is a step up from the Crotots: well-defined and more mineral-driven, with a light marine influence surfacing with time. The palate is very well balanced, with a lovely bitter lemon note on the entry. It`s a relatively `sedate` Meursault, refined and elegant, but the finish still has tangible energy. A long-term prospect. 91-93 points
