Clos Baulet is the smallest premier cru in Morey-St-Denis, 0.87 hectares in total, of which the Domaine des Lambrays owns a third. Named after a former owner, the vineyard begins at the front door of the domaine and rolls down the slope towards the main road. The bouquet kicks off with a lovely, cherryish sweetness followed by interesting herbal and even vegetal depths. In the mouth, this shows serious energy and spine under the joyful fruit, and it’s impressively long, finishing on a compelling minerality. (NT 24/12/24)

Ruby purple, with a bundle of energy on the nose. Glowing deep dark red fruit, with a little white pepper, much more energy to the fruit, mouth filling dark red raspberry, spicy at the finish, shows warmth and delicacy at the same time. Drink from 2029-2036. 92-94 points
