A little bit of CO2 clinging to the glass. Complex aroma of stone fruit, leesy richness in both texture and flavour, and a slightly wild freshness, along with a stony and dried-grasses character as well as dried-citrus pith. Dusty, but in a good way. Bold and intense on the palate, crisp and dry-tasting (RS is 1.5 g/l), but surprisingly full bodied, as well as lightly scented on the palate. Bags of flavour, these characterful varieties have strong personalities, but have been skilfully blended so that the Muscat perfume is present, but doesn’t dominate. Complex, mouth-watering finish with a very light tannic feel. 17 points
