The Aubaine is sourced from a single parcel on very poor soils in Tracy, and aged for a year in a subterranean tank on its fine lees. It presents fairly classic aromas of grapefruit, cut grass, tomato leaf and sliced cucumber, together with a smudge of smoke that reminds you why Pouilly-Fume is called `fume`. Fresh, structured and focused, and showing unusual intensity on the finish - beautiful. (NT 12/08/20)
