Lisa Perrotti-Brown
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 Hanisch Shiraz has a nose redolent of warm black plums, blueberry preserves and dried mulberries with suggestion of espresso, smoky bacon, spice cake and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied and packed with berry preserve and mincemeat pie flavor layers, it is a well-structured wine with a medium to firm level of rounded tannins and crisp acidity that finish with great length. 95+ points
