Ridge Friday tasting in time for Thanksgiving

Wednesday, 30 May 2012 - 2:15pm

“One of the classic reference points for high-quality California wine” - Robert Parker

Free tasting of Geyserville & Lytton Springs at our Bishopsgate shop today from noon

Thanksgiving is coming - next Thursday in case you were wondering. What a wonderful wine lover's holiday it is - hedonism brushed with a tinge of gratitude for the harvest - essentially a Paulée. And what better wines to go with your turkey, stuffing, gravy, mash, candied yams, creamed corn, biscuits, and pumpkin pie than Ridge Zins? Some of the original wines of good ol' American knowhow, elbow grease and meticulous farming. Not too many wineries in the world have had the same winemaker for 42 years. Paul Draper has always pushed the envelope with his wines, favouring single vineyard terroir and minimal intervention viticulture decades before his contemporaries.

Today, from noon (yes, High Noon, not midday) come down, taste and make up your own minds. /CC
