The best thing about 2009 Bordeaux is that so many properties saw that their fruit was just about perfect and stepped up to make their finest ever wines. So that at every price level, every level in the hierarchy, there are fantastic - and fantastically affordable - bottles to be had. Since the team started texting and emailing back their reports in April 2010 we've been excited about the whole region's exceptional efforts.
