Mandarin, grapefruit and candied citrus notes with a lick of posh oak; today`s vanilla will be tomorrow`s hazelnut. There is a bit of tropical fruit in there too, pineapple and passionfruit. A beautifully vivid, vivacious style that sites this wine as halfway between a zesty Puligny-Montrachet and a lusher Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. Though it`s not Chardonnay at all, of course; this is the finest Verdejo you will ever come across. (NT 21/01/22)
