Jane Anson
Bright redcurrant and raspberry fruits, plenty of kick and clarity, with slate tannins, but the acidity is high. Early to medium term drinking, plenty of juice on the finish. Basile Tesseron, formerly of Chateau Lafon Rochet has joined his wife at her long-time family estate, where a sustained period of investment is making it one to watch. 86 points

The 2024 Larrivaux opens with a vibrant burst of blue/purplish fruit. It shows good depth, but there are some angular contours that are hard to look past. Elevage will be critical here. For now, the 2024 comes across as quite raw. Tasted two times. 87-89 points

The 2024 Larrivaux has a light nose with blackberry, wild hedgerow and dried rose petal scents. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins that frame the cedar-tinged black fruit, gentle grip with a modicum of freshness and salinity on the finish. I can imagine enjoying this over the next five to seven years. 87-89 points
