Jane Anson
Chalky, sappy, redcurrant and raspberry fruits, a little dilute through the mid palate, but skilfully balanced with spice and campfire smoke, unfussy and charming, more austere than in recent vintages. 40 hl/ha yield. 88 points
Antonio Galloni
The 2024 Chasse-Spleen is perhaps a bit firm, but it offers very good energy and persistence. Expressive savory inflections meld into a core of plum, new leather, incense, spice, tobacco and dried herbs. This mid-weight Moulis is promising. 88-90 points
Neal Martin
The 2024 Chasse-Spleen takes time to cohere in the glass. This is a bit musty at first, though it gains fresh red berry fruit and light pencil shaving scents that emerge with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins on the entry. This is a strict Chasse-Spleen that`s a bit ‘rigid’ and is missing some flesh toward the finish. The 2024 will require a very ‘hands off’ elevage. 87-89 points
