A ‘mere’ village vineyard, yet situated immediately below Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. Marc Colin owns two sections of vines here, one young, one old (70 years) and Damien notes that the two behave very differently. He says he is glad to have both as he finds the fruit complementary – the young vines bring energy where the old ones bring depth. With lime and lavender, white pepper and blossom, the bouquet is outstanding for its complexity. In the mouth, there is the sense of ripe southern lemons, and the waxy mid-palate is married to significant acidity, all leading to an impressive finish. A tremendous wine that showcases the nobility of this terroir. (NT 05/12/24)

Jasper Morris MW
Mid lemon yellow, quite floral without becoming exotic. There is a razor sharp backbone here, supporting the charming elegance of the white fruit, backed up with a little oak. Beautifully put together. 91-93 points
