Generous wood toast fights somewhat with the spicy black cherry and pungent earth scents. There is noticeably better richness and concentration to the medium-bodied flavors that are at once caressing and powerful on the balanced and moderately structured finish. This is on the woody side at present but the density is such that it should ultimately be integrated in time. Worth considering provided you have at least some patience. 89 points
