Second wine of the fabulous L`If, the Saint-Émilion estate of Jacques Thienpont (owner of Le Pin). Intense aromas of dark fruit and oak barrels, with a hint of savoury earth and old iron. The palate is full of rich blackberry and black cherry fruit, violets and ripe tannin, dusty and long. A superb wine, all the more impressive given the challenges of the vintage. (JH 16/11/2021)
