It is often called the Jewel of Tain. Domaine Marc Sorrel makes some of the very finest wines on the Hill of Hermitage - for four generations the Sorrels have been fastidiously working some of the best sites on the hill. They produce a small quantity of sought-after, long-lived Syrah reds, and an even smaller quantity of rich, dry, distinguished whites. Guillaume Sorrel co-founded Domaine & Maison Les Alexandrins, before taking over at Sorrel in 2018. With some splendid vintages already in the bag since then, it’s clear that this jewel of Tain is in the best of hands.
