It is often called the Jewel of Tain. Domaine Marc Sorrel is small, but it has some plum sites on the Hill of Hermitage. For three generations the Sorrels have been producing a small quantity of sought-after, long-lived Syrah reds, and an even smaller quantity of rich, dry, distinguished whites. Guillaume Sorrel learnt his craft at his father's side, and for some years focused on the crucial vineyard work. He fully took over in 2018, and with a couple of splendid vintages since then, the signs are that this jewel of Tain is in the best of hands.

We're delighted to welcome Guillaume back to the shop next Thursday 10 March. He will be talking us through some recent vintages from the domaine. We will be tasting:

2019 Hermitage Blanc
2018 Hermitage Blanc
2019 Hermitage Blanc Rocoules
2020 Hermitage Rouge
2019 Hermitage Rouge
2018 Hermitage Rouge
2017 Hermitage Rouge
