There have been vines grown on the Staglin Family land for over 130 years and they have been under various ownerships including that of Beaulieu Vineyards when the vineyard was used to supply the fruit for the very highly thought of Georges de Latour Private Reserve, one of the most prestigious California bottlings for years. The Staglin family have owned their eponymous wine estate since 1985 and Garen Staglin`s experience (and fortune) garnered from venture capitalism have enabled him to invest heavily in the estate. All the farming is done organically under the careful direction of another Napa star - David Abreu. The estate generates more electricity than it needs through its solar arrays. The family have raised several fortunes for mental health charities. (19/08/19)
