Father John Winery

Founded in 2010 by Nicholas Maloney while he was in France, working in in Haute Savoie, Margaux, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Pernand Vergelesses and Chablis. His experiences in France and Switzerland influenced his philosophy of creating delicate, expressive wines. Fermentation is whole cluster, using native yeasts - providing structure without excessive maceration. This results in powerful aromatics and a very light colour. The wines are seldom fined and never filtered. Once fermented, they age for less than a year in French oak barrels from the Forest of Allier before bottling. The name honours Reverend John Weaver, a renowned Episcopalian priest and Nicholas` grandfather. /JH
