Jane Anson
Intense and concentrated with clear perfume. This is intense, with density that is maintained through the palate, cassis, damson, bilberry, new label as of 2023 vintage. No chaptilisation, no saignee, no de-acidification. 34ha, 50% new oak. 24hl/h yield, 3.77ph. 90 points

The 2024 Monbousquet opens with lovely upfront fruit. Blue/purplish berries, mocha, chocolate, licorice and spice are front and center. In 2024, Monbousquet is not as naturally exuberant or fleshy as it is in most years, but its racy, inviting personality is very much present. Soft, silky contours add to its undeniable charm. 89-91 points

The 2024 Monbousquet was picked from September 24 to October 3 at 25.82 hl/ha and aged in 58% new oak. The nose feels a bit muddled at first with a chocolate/lactic note that obscures some of the fruit. The palate is grainy on the entry with a sweet note upfront and coarse tannins, but it feels strangely Mediterranean on the finish. 85-87 points
