2024 Clos L`Eglise (Pomerol)

Media Reviews

Jane Anson

Cloves, cocoa bean, liqourice, intense, concentrated, deep damson and raspberry fruits, this is good quality although not quite the sappy pleasure of the sibling St Emilion estates in this small, high quality portfolio. 90 points

Antonio Galloni

The 2024 Clos L`Eglise is packed with black fruit, gravel, incense, new leather, licorice and scorched earth. The 2024 offers good up-front textural intensity, although the dynamic energy, complexity and depth that are typical here are somewhat elusive. 91-93 points

Neal Martin

The 2024 Clos l`Eglise was picked from September 24 to October 5 and matured in 50% new oak. This Pomerol exhibits impressive concentration on the nose with black cherry, boysenberry and blackcurrant scents. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a weighty entry, powdery tannins and veins of dark chocolate interlacing the black fruit. There`s a bit of grip on the finish here, so afford it three years in bottle just to absorb and assimilate the oak. 90-92 points
