Jane Anson
Intense sunflower colour, with fig and dried apricot on the nose. The Casteja family have teased impressive freshness out of the richness of this wine, giving edges of lime zest to the silky, concentrated fruits and textures which are found in all the sweet wines in 2022. Harvest October 2 to 28, 4 selections, 8hl/h. There was no production in 2021 on this wine after the frost. Tasted twice. 93 points

The 2022 Doisy-Vedrines has a backward nose at the moment, though with coaxing, there are light honeysuckle, quince and dried honey scents. The palate is viscous on the entry with its signature weight and girth that fills the mouth. Good tension, not quite as persistent as the Doisy-Daene at the moment, though it should fill out by the time of bottling. 91-93 points

The 2022 Doisy-Vedrines is wonderfully floral and delicate in the glass. Dried pear, spice, chamomile and mint all grace this exquisite Barsac. I very much like the energy here. 92-94 points
