Say it quietly, as Pinot Blanc is not considered a `Noble Variety` in Alsace, and therefore cannot bear the name of a Grand Cru vineyard, but the `B` stands for Brand Grand Cru. The pedigree is clear in the wine: delicate aromas of white blossom and stone-fruit lead on to a rich, structured palate, extraordinarily elegant, with a touch of lychee, white pepper and gorgeous ripe fruit. The finish lingers for ages; this is undoubtedly one of the world`s finest Pinot Blanc wines. (JH 21/04/22)
