Neal Martin
The 2014 Alter Ego de Palmer initially seems a little volatile on the nose. However, returning to my glass after 15 minutes, this seems to dissipate, revealing attractive, slightly exotic red fruit. The sweet palate shows plush, juicy red fruit laced with black pepper and sage. It is outgoing in style with a precocious (for the vintage) finish. For those who fancy a bit of hedonism. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting. 90 points
