Aromas of earth, moss, old wood and a glint of red fruit. The palate is soft and mellow, still carrying some freshness and a touch of rounded, dusty tannin on the finish. This is in fine form for an inexpensive old Bordeaux, still going strong (although I personally would drink up sooner rather than later). (JH 02/10/2025)

Jancis Robinson MW
This ripe, luscious Cru Bourgeois is coming along nicely, having shown well right from the start. Just starting to show very slight rusty-nail character on the finish. A wine of the week in May 2016. 16.5 points
