The 2011 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru is the best bottle of three that I tasted from the domaine, exhibiting more tension and energy than the Les Vaucrains or Les Pruliers. This is surfeit with small red cherries, crushed strawberry, orange zest and cold wet stone. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin that frame the blackberry and raspberry fruit combining effortlessly with the black pepper and spices that lift the finish. This is a great Les Saint Georges from a tricky vintage. Chapeau. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting. 93 points
