Marmalade and Christmas spice, patchouli and gingerbread, wood shavings and sherbet poppers; Stobcross is a very good, very characterful single malt whisky. It’s all about Glasgow. Clydeside is a gleaming new distillery in the heart of Glasgow’s former industrial docklands, and Tim Morrison is whisky industry royalty. Mr Morrison dreamt of reviving the distilling of malt whisky in the city of Glasgow; when he discovered that his great-grandfather had had a hand in building the Queen’s Dock where the distillery now stands, he knew he had found his site.
