Complex aromatics, with plenty of tropical fruit and citrus. The palate is more muted, light and lemon-zesty, and supremely drinkable thanks to the very low alcohol. I can see this gaining weight with age, but I think I prefer it now in its refreshing flush of youth. (JH 21/07/2022)

The 2019 Loureiro, tasted with about 10 weeks in bottle, is the winery`s classic version—meaning `unoaked.` It comes in at 11.3% alcohol, less than 1.5 grams of sugar and 7.4 of total acidity, a big change from last year`s more alcoholic and lower-acid profile. This, to me, is a nicer profile for this wine in theory, but I`m not yet sure it will realize its potential. It retains its traditional lift to the fruit and a bright, lively demeanor. It might not be as concentrated as the 2018, but it has a wonderfully zesty finish with the acidity on display. All that said, this doesn`t have a tightly wound demeanor and it is not as expressive as it might be. The question is whether a little more bottle age will let this come together. These do usually age well, but this has some things to prove. 89 points
